A special event taking place at the Utsunomiya Museum of Art looks into the works of Georges Bigot (1860 - 1927), a French cartoonist, illustrator and artist. Interestingly, he was almost unknown in his home country, but was quite famous in Japan for satirical cartoons depicting life in the Meiji era. Along with his satirical art, he created plenty of beautiful pieces depicting Japanese landscapes and the simple charm of everyday life.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 800 yen.

The Utsunomiya Museum of Art is located around 20 minutes by taxi from the JR Utsunomiya Station. Buses are also available - take the Kanto Bus bound for "Toyosatodai / Utsunomiya Museum of Art via Teikyo University" from bus stop No. 5. The bus travel time is around 25 minutes. Parking is available on-site.

For those who plan to drive, the museum is around10 kilometers from the Tohoku Expressway's Utsunomiya Interchange, or around 14 kilometers from the Kanuma Interchange. For those traveling on the Kita Kanto Expressway, the museum is around 19 kilometers from the Kamimikawa Interchange.
