There are numerous ways to enjoy the best of sakura season in Tokyo, from hanami picnics through to boat rides on the water at places like Kichijoji's Inokashira Park. A new way to appreciate spring's iconic blooms is via an afternoon tea bus tour, with routes covering some of the key cherry blossom spots in the city.
There are two separate routes for the bus courses: the Omotesando course, which goes around Shiba Park and Meiji Dori, and the Shinjuku course, which goes around Yasukuni Shrine and Chidorigafuchi Moat.
The afternoon tea menu also takes inspiration from the season, with offerings like sakura dango (chewy dumplings), and spring colored chirashizushi (sushi rice topped with egg and other ingredients).
There are various departure times available, and booking for either course can be made via the official event website.
