Exploring works from the Kröller-Müller collection

Helene Kröller-Müller was an art collector and philanthropist who was credited as one of the first people to recognize the talent of revered artist Vincent Van Gogh. During her lifetime she amassed over 90 of his paintings (and even more drawings!) — it's one of the world's largest Van Gogh collections.

A special exhibition taking place at the Fukuoka Art Museum will explore around 70 pieces from the Kröller-Müller collection. There will be paintings and sketches from Van Gogh on display, plus approximately 20 works from other esteemed artists including Jean-François Millet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Georges Seurat, Odilon Redon, and Piet Mondrian.

Adult admission to the event is priced at ¥ 2000.

The Fukuoka Art Museum is located approximately 10 minutes on foot from Ohori Park Station's Exit 3 or 6. The station is served by the Fukuoka City Subway's Kuko Line.

For those who plan to drive, the museum has a dedicated paid parking lot which is charged at 200 yen per hour. There are only 26 spaces, however, so public transport is advised when possible.
