Okakura Tenshin and the Tea Ceremony 2021

A special exhibition at the Fukui Fine Arts Museum

장소: Fukui Fine Arts Museum 언제: Jan 3rd - Feb 14th 2021

A special exhibition taking place at the Fukui Fine Arts Museum looks at the influence of Okakura Tenshin (also known as Okakura Kakuzō), who published 'The Book of Tea' in 1906. The book showed the beauty, tradition, and culture intertwined in the small daily act of drinking tea, which also shaped perceptions of Japan abroad.

Some of the pieces displayed at the event will include a first-edition copy of The Book of Tea, items used in tea ceremonies, and paintings related to tea.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 100 yen.
