Celebrated Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto is the subject a large-scale solo exhibition at Tokyo's Mori Art Museum, offering a comprehensive look at his visionary career spanning over 25 years. Born in 1971 in Hokkaido, Fujimoto has become a global force in architecture, with offices in Tokyo, Paris, and Shenzhen. His diverse portfolio ranges from private residences to large-scale cultural and urban projects, earning him international acclaim.
The exhibition traces his rise from early recognition in the 2000 Aomori Museum of Art Competition to iconic works like the Musashino Art University Museum and Library (2010), the Serpentine Pavilion in London (2013), L'Arbre Blanc in France (2019), and the House of Hungarian Music in Budapest (2021). Now serving as the venue design producer for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, Fujimoto is considered one of Japan’s leading contemporary architects.
