Barbie has been an incredibly popular toy since her introduction in 1959, and she has taken on a wide variety of occupations throughout her decades-long existence. Some of her early careers included fashion model, flight attendant, and nurse, with this expanding later on to the likes of doctor, astronaut, veterinarian, and even president of the United States.
A special exhibition taking place at the Itochu SDG's Studio in Tokyo delves into the world of Barbie under the concept of "who do you want to be?", with a focus on breaking through gender biases as Barbie has done over time.
Admission to the exhibition is free of charge.
