All seasons in Japan are very unique, and in each one there is a major attraction that highlights it. Spring is no different as "hanami" or cherry blossom viewing is a very popular event throughout Japan.
There are several spots throughout the country but Miyagi boasts one of the top spots with the senbonzakura at Ogawara. Just imagine seeing a thousand sakura trees laden with those beautiful flowers at just one glance! The trees line the river and visitors can enjoy local delicacies at food stalls located nearby.
