Amanohashidate is not known for cherry trees, but for its iconic sand spit walkway lined with pine trees, some of which are over a century old and have inspired poets and writers alike.
However, if you have a sharp eye, you can see the occasional cherry tree, especially a bunch of them in the southern part of the spit, where there is a cafe and a shrine as well. It makes for a perfect place to have a picnic by the beach or under the cherry blossoms.
