나가사끼는 일본에서 가장 오래된 차이나타운을 자랑하며 중국의 새해 첫 15일간 열리는 이 2주간의 축제에서 매년 이러한 문화적 유대관계를 기념한다.

대부분의 활동들은 퍼레이드와 문화 공연으로 나가사끼 차이나타운 안팎을 중심으로 한다. 이 쇼의 대부분은 중국의 전통 사자춤과 마즈 행진과 같은 전통 중국 문화에서 뿌리를 둔다.
